Free to use
You may freely quote, reproduce and embed our rankings and company data in articles, on websites and on social media – without asking permission. We ask only for a clear attribution: “Source: Biztrac.no”, ideally with a link.
The data comes from public registers (the Brønnøysund Register Centre and the Norwegian Tax Administration) and is licensed under the Norwegian Licence for Open Government Data (NLOD).
Embed a ranking
Every ranking can be embedded as an interactive widget that updates automatically and links back to the source. Here is how:
- Go to Rankings and pick a list – largest revenue, for example. Filter by county, municipality or industry if you like.
- Click “Embed this list” at the bottom of the list page.
- Copy the code and paste it where you want the list to appear.

The ownership graph
The ownership graph can be used in articles today. Open the graph for a company at biztrac.no/explore, adjust and expand the view as you want it, and use the buttons in the toolbar:
- Export Image – download the current view as an image (PNG) for use in the article.
- Share – save the layout and get a shareable link to that exact view.
Remember the attribution “Source: Biztrac.no” when you use the image. Interactive embedding (iframe) of the graph is coming later. coming
Attribution
Use “Source: Biztrac.no” as the attribution, ideally with a link to the page in question. Embedded widgets carry a source link automatically – you do not need to do anything extra.
