- Nasjonalt kontaktutvalg for elveredning har som hovudvirke å samle redningsgrupper som driver redning i strømmende vatn, derav i hovudsak elv, samt yte fyrstehjelp til forulykka. Gruppene skal vere ein ekstraordinær ressurs som bistår den profesjonelle redningstenesta, når det er behov for spesialkompetanse. Gruppa skal ha unik kompetanse på tilkomst og redning i og rundt elv, juv og foss. Kontaktutvalget vil bestå av ett eller fleire medlem frå kvar enkeltstående elveredningsgruppe i landet.
