How old can a Norwegian business get? The new Oldest companies ranking lists still-active businesses by founding date — oldest first. At the top you will find institutions with roots reaching back to the 13th century.
The ranking is based on the founding date recorded in the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities. That date is missing for some older companies, so the list captures the oldest ones for which we have a reliable founding date.
